This is it. We fly out at 12:30 pm on Korean Air from LAX to Seoul, a 12 hour flight. After a 3 hour layover, we fly another 4.5 hours to Hanoi, arriving at 10:10 pm local. That's 8:10 am tomorrow, CA time. We'll post again as soon as we get a good internet connection.
We had a great send off/94th birthday party for us and my mom respectively. It was wonderful to see much of my side of the family. We were a bit teary-eyed as we parted. The mom allowed as how she hoped a diet high in vegetables will help reduce my girth. Always the sentimental one. :) I will miss our dinners with Burt and Phyllis. We look forward to celebrating mom's 95th next year. Leaving family is the hardest part of this new journey.
